The RYA Basic Navigation and Safety course provides an introduction to the basic skills required before taking a small boat to sea or taking an active part in running the boat. It covers chart overview, bouyage, distance/bearing, tidal streams and heights, rule of the road, electronic and safety equipment, harbour info and passage plans. As it is only a 2 day course you get a taste of the topics which we know from experience will leave you wanting more. Our RYA Day Skipper Theory course is the next step. Duration 2 days £180 This can also be combined with a practical Competent Crew course Duration 7 days £650 (inc practical 5 days) This is also ideal as a refresher for those wishing to sit an ICC (International Certificate of Competence).
