Duration: one day 09.30 - 18.00

Course content:

• VHF voice procedures
• Distress, Urgency, Safety and routine traffic
• Rules and Regulations
• Practical training sessions
• GMDSS – Global Maritime Distress and Safety System
• Navtex/EPIRB’s/SART’s

Pre-requisites: None

Age for Certificate: 16 (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult)

Cost: £110 (inc. RYA course book, phonetic alphabet aid, practical sessions and licence fee)

This one day course teaches students how to operate a marine VHF set competently, correctly and with confidence.

The highly valued RYA/MCA certificate is a requirement by law for anyone who owns or uses a marine radio.
