RYA Theory Courses with Hercules Sailing in Gibraltar and Southern Spain

The ideal way to learn about the principles of navigation and meteorology is in classroom mode rather than struggling at the chart table whilst en route to some destination.

We offer all RYA theory courses from Essential Navigation & Seamanship to Yachtmaster Ocean here at Hercules Sailing. These are residential so your time is still spent in the marine environment and you should get the opportunity to do some sailing to consolidate particular aspects.

Except for the Essential Navigation & Seamanship theory course we start at 09.00 on a Monday morning and finish the following Sunday afternoon. The Basic Navigation and Safety is done over 2 day usually prior to the RYA 5 day Competent Crew practical sailing week. See our combination courses.

As with the Practical courses, you will be given breakfasts and lunches etc as well as the makings of 3 evening meals and your bedding. Prices are shown on the individual pages for each course.

Arrangements can be made for standard 5 day RYA Theory Training if preferred.
