The Hercules Sailing Ocean Sights Melilla Cruise is offered as an opportunity to sample life on a longer passage, including one night at sea yet still being within 60 miles of a safe haven.

It is aimed at those students who have successfully achieved the Ocean theory and have done an Ocean passage of over 600 miles but not have actually managed to take the required sights for their Ocean Oral examination. Or maybe you would just like the taste of a course with a difference – suitable for experience and mile building.

We will re-fresh your memory of how to use the sextant and what to do with the maths in order to reduce your sights. Astro Navigation at its best.

You will have the chance to practice on the way to Melilla and then on the return trip you can take the sights for real.

Join Sunday evening, complete the practical sailing by Friday then the Ocean Oral exam organised for the Saturday.
